Sophia and I have dates, she gets to pick where we go. It's so much fun for both of us. She seems to always pick the Mall of America! Her favorite place to go is Sephora and look at all the makeup, pick things up, try things on, talk with the girls that work there. They all loved her talking about makeup! I may have created a monster! I let her pick any ride she wanted to, and this is what she picked, a 1$ merry-go-round ride. It sure didn't last long. I think she has her mom's fear of rides! She is all girl and loves clothes, jewelery, shoes. Needless to say Sophi takes about a good half hour or more to get dressed in the morning. It is always and adventure.... the days of me picking out her cute little outfits are over. She is definitely independent and that's a wonderful thing. Many more mommy and Sophi dates to come. My little girl is growing up so fast!!

WOW, time has flown by! It is May and we have not posted since January, oopsie! We have been busy with the usual, school still for Sophia until the 23rd of May and we go to daycare two days a week still. I'm still working part-time and Eric is into his busy work season. We are anxiously awaiting some nice weather.

The kids are growing like crazy. Sophia still talks up a storm, its still amazing. Finn is talking more and more every day. His new fav sayings are" oh wow" and "whats that", along with calling his sister gaga! Sophia thinks this is hilarious. We have begun to learn how to fight and take things away from each other, so I feel like a referee sometimes. I just purchased a bike and burley trailer and we have been tyring to spend every nice day riding outside. Sometimes we have gone twice on the nice days, you never know when the next one will be here in MN!

Other than the fun stuff we have had lots of colds, flu, and poor Finn has had ear infections. Eric seems to not get any of this, it's just passed between Mom and the kids. Hopefully warm weather and windows open will get rid of all this crud!

We celebrated Finnegan's birthday a month later. We had a busy December with our good friends wedding, Christmas and the weather wasn't great either. We Finally got all together on New Years day and had a great time. It's just so hard to believe that he is a year old! Love you buddy!!

Eric and Sophia were in a wedding this weekend here are some pics. Sophia did really good until it was time to walk up the isle, it didn't happen! She would not do it and that was that! Oh well she looked adorable and Eric looked very handsome in his new suit too. We had lots of fun and we got lots of snow the night before! It was a busy weekend with the groom supper Friday night, Saturday wedding and Sunday was Finnegan's first birthday. Eric and I celebrate our anniversary this week also! Whew it will be Christmas before we know it!!! Here are some pics of the wedding.......

We ventured out early Sunday morning to get our Christmas tree. This is my fav family tradition! One I hope my kids pass along to their families. Eric complains that I take forever to pick the perfect tree, which I do. But it has to be "just right", Fraser fur. Sophia got into decorating this year(pics to follow) She keeps telling me, "mom, our tree is beautiful, I did such a good job"! Now the true test will be when Finnegan gets up in the morning. Eric got a 9 pointer last night, second day of opener. He had to stay home with sick kids the first day of opener, (SHOCK I KNOW) Sophia was sick and quarantined to the house, while I had to work that day. I guess this was a good trade off! He is really excited, we had to dress the kids up in Camo to go see the deer. Finnegan could care less and took pics with dad, Sophia on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it or to go near it unless she was taking pics.

It feels like we have gotten so much rain this last week.... oh wait we have. Lets just say Sophia's little kitty pool had about 3in of water in it and now I looked since last Wednesday it is overflowing. There are roads closed everywhere and it just keeps coming. Good day for movies with the kids. One is napping the other is watching toy story and we have peace and quiet! Now if I only had caffeine!

This weekend we are hoping to do, garage sales, apple orchard, Church at Hosanna with my parents and some birthday shopping for little Miss Sophia. I just can't believe that she is going to be three on Tuesday! Where has this time gone:-((((

We also sure miss Eric, he has been hunting in Montana this week with my brother Mike and my Uncle Gary is the guide. Hi Gary and Gaynelle!!!!

We had a great summer, wow did it fly by. The kids keep growing every day and are keeping us on our toes!

Finnegan,

He is now 9.5 months old. He is 23lbs 4oz and is 28in long. He loves to eat, eat, eat! I am still making my own baby food and he has been eating some table food too. He loves it all. Only thing I have to hide in his food is green beans and peas. He is such a happy laid back little guy. We LOVE him so much, he is a great addition to our family. Finnegan is crawling and pulling him self up. We think he should be walking in no time. Where have the last nine months gone? He is still a big momma's boy which I LOVE!

Miss Sophia is also growing like crazy. She is almost three, one week to go. She of course amazes us how much she still talks. It's like she is almost three trapped in a teenagers body some days! Good and Bad. She loves to entertain Finnegan and play with him. She is a great, sweet mini mommy. They will have there moments, it's a brother sister thing I guess. I'm just amazed that she is going to be three, three! WOW! She will be starting dance class next month and is really excited for that. We were going to start her in pre-school this year but decided to wait. She is by all means ready, but she would have had to have three years before kindergarten. We may do some ECFE classes in town this year, we miss that Hosanna doesn't have her class this year, she loved it there! Other than that she loves, movies, outside, dressing up and of course talking you're ear off. She got her ears pierced the other day, shed a couple tears and told the lady on the way out, "Thanks for piercing my ears I love them". We then went back to my work so she could show everyone there, and then on the way home she had to have the rear view mirror down so she could see her ears. She has been asking to have them done, and she did great. She also told me that she gets earrings for her Birthday now! Oh Sophia!!

Hope you all had a great summer, we (I) love Fall her so I will enjoy it while it lasts! Because we all no what comes next..................................

Isn't he a cutie pie!! He is also 7.5 months old and has almost 8 teeth now! WOW has time flown by. He is a calm, sweet, mellow baby. LOVES to eat and loves to cuddle! He is also a really, really, really big mama's boy and this mama loves it! He is 20 pounds, 27in long and has lots of cute rolls all over! He is so different from Sophia. She was just long and Finnegan is just solid. He is also wearing 12-18 month clothes, he sits on his own, gets up on all four's and pushes himself backwards all over. He is sleeping through the night(Thank you Lord!) he's just growing way too fast!

He LOVES stroller rides, one of his favorite things to do. I would be lost without my Bumbleride Indie double stroller. I have the Bugaboo for small trips, but the double is great for walks and outings. Funny how these kinds of things excite you once you have kids. It's so nice to put both kids in it, and Sophia entertains her brother, and does not run away from me! It was a great investment, ahhhhhh the simple things! I have found I kind of have a stroller/diaper bag, okay I guess all things kids buying problem. I have been cleaning out some things and selling them on eBay. I've done actually really well!!

Also another one of Finnegan's favorite things to do is water, anything with water. Sophia's pool, big pools, in his floaty. He loves it, he just sits back and chills.

Sophia also loves her pool along, with her parents...... who occasionally will sit in there with them. Hey, it's been a hot, hot summer!!!!! Sophia is still smart as ever. Actually smart is an understatement she is just clever and the things she says is AMAZING! she also remembers every single place we go and why we went there. Sometimes I have to remind my self she will only be three this fall. Whoa!!! She will be starting pre-school this fall and we are in the process of a new daycare. It will be a big fall for the kids but will be a good one. It's sure hard to believe that the 4th of July has come and gone and July is half way over. We've had a pretty mellow summer which has been GREAT!

Our little man is quickly approaching the 5 month mark. WOW has that gone fast! We just had him into the DR the other day and his stats are:

17lbs 10oz, 26 in long, strong and healthy!

He sure is ticklish when the DR exams him. He laughed the whole time, while Sophia talked the Dr's ear off about all that she has been up to! Until the dreaded shots, Finnegan screaming in pain, and Sophia closing her eye's not being able to watch in horror of what they were doing to her brother. Poor guy, he ran a mild fever and just has been a tiny bit cranky, but not much.

This little guy is so laid back! He is still eating like crazy, and the DR said with all of his allergies to detergents and soaps were are going to have to be extra careful with his food. Cereal for a couple months and slowly week, by week introducing new foods. I guess this will be OK, the garden veggies will be ready by that time. I am going to attempt to make my own baby food......... I will let you now about the follow through with that!!

Today at Caribou Sophia had ordered our drinks for us, this is mainly for me to not forget this conversation !

Caribou L: Hi how are you?

Sophia: Great, I would like a smoothie, and a Mocha!

C Lady:(in amazement..) Oh would you like strawberry banana?

Sophia: no, just a smoothie(in an annoyed voice)

C Lady:(looks at mom) Oreo cookie, really small?

Mom: yes please,

Sophia: and a mocha!!

Sophia: my brother Finnegan Phillip went to the Dr the other day and got shots, he cried but he is better now. Mom, I need money!

C Lady: How old are you?

Sophia: 16

C Lady: Oh my.............

Mom: she is 2.5 and could stand her all day and talk to you!

Oh Sophia.................... do you think her father will have heart attacks every time he opens up a phone bill when she really is 16!

Mama's going to VEGAS!! We had originally booked a trip with our friends Ryan and Chrissy going the beginning of May for Ryan's 30Th b-day. Well we had booked through an airline in Rochester, thought we were getting a great deal, and then they closed! We got our money back and kind of put things on hold. Eric decided he didn't want to go due to work and not wanting to take extra time off if he was just going back. Plus he gets to go on a hunting trip this fall which he is super excited about (Hi Gary and Gaynelle!) with my brother Mike. So I decide I am going to go and have fun. I will miss him and the babes but it's been too long and this mama needs a vacation even if it's just for a few days. We leave May 1st and come back May 4Th. I am going to have a really hard time away from the kids, and Eric but it will be a blast. We are going with a fun bunch of people!

My little peanut!

Here I go getting behind on the blog again!! Lets see, we haven't been up to much other than the kids growing like weeds and time is just flying by!

Finnegan is almost 4mo old and he weighs 16lbs!!! He is a happy plump baby and is a mommy's boy, and I love it! He is such a blessing to our family. He is smiling and talking all of the time. We had a little scare with him this past week. He got a rash that was the most horrible thing I have ever seen. I work with skin and just when I think I have seen it all in almost ten years, I see this rash all over my babe. I went through all of the things it could be from switching to formula from breast milk, only because my little monkey eats 6oz and mama can't keep up! I thought about all of the things we've put on him and then it hit me, we had used a California baby product the night before. Long story short, horrible rash, hydra cortisone and a happy baby the whole time. Never cried, fussed or lost sleep over it. What a trooper. He loves to be held and snuggled and have I told you yet how wonderful he is:-)

Sophia just amazes me every single day the things she says! I can't event remember all she says because it is so far beyond what a two and a half year old should be talking about! For example: the other day she was talking about how water goes into energy and watts?!?! Ahmm where did that come from. The funny thing was she was pretty much giving us a big science lesson on how it works and what happens and it's very important stuff. OK Sophia you are two! She loves to watch movies, her favorite is the "Wizard of OZ" I know again, two. She loves it and is not scared one bit from this movie. Eric and I on the other hand are soooooo sick of watching it!

We have been taking walks outside in my favorite most awesome Bumbleride indie twin stroller! The best investment ever! The kids have loved it and it feels so good to get out after being cooped in the house all winter. Finnegan is just happy as can be in the stroller, car anywhere he goes he is happy. Sophia loves walks because she can talk you're ear off about everything she sees and it wears her out, which is great for a busy little girl!

School is still her favorite thing and she has learned so much. I love her school and the church and she is excited to go next year to pre-school. Her teacher said this year she is absolutely ready for pre-school, she probably would be ready for anything you challenged her too. I kind of looked at them in amazement, and said time needs to slow down! Hopefully her little skills will get her lots of great scholarships someday

Finnegan, a.k.a chunky monkey as we call him is now over 2 months old. We took him into his baby check up the other day and he weighs 13lbs 9oz and is 24in long! He is a big boy and very very happy! He is smiling all the time and is sleeping through the night. This has been wonderful, he has been for about 2wks now and I am enjoying getting some sleep again. His sister on the other hand still fights us to go to sleep. She can think of every excuse in the book why she can't go to bed. She keeps us on our toes and there is never a dull moment with lil miss! She is now signed up for pre-school next year at Hosanna were she goes this year one day a week. She loves it there and will love to be there again next year. It's also hard to believe that I am signing her up for pre-school. Where does the time go!

This weekend we have Finnegan's baptism and hopefully the weather should be nice and we will have no snow. Sophia's baptism it was a blizzard that day.

This start to the New Year has been great and sad. We lost my dear Grandma Peters in January and it has been really hard for me. I will miss her dearly. She was always there when my brothers were driving me crazy, and we would spend hours, quilting, watching soap opera's, crocheting and just being together. I would say I was sick when I was younger just so I could stay at Grandma's for the day. She is near and dear in my heart and it will never be the same without her at the farm!

Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year and is staying Healthy! Is anyone sick of the snow yet???? I am and can't wait for spring!

Sophia was all excited to go see Eric's first deer he got with his bow. She got all dressed up in her camouflage(thanks uncle Mike) and we headed out to Mike house to see it. Sophia loves deer, hunting and anything to do with it. Until we got there and she saw the dead deer. Then she wouldn't look at it or talk. Poor girl, she still loves deer. Maybe next year she can go sit with Eric in the woods.

This corn is the tallest I have ever seen, Matt is 6ft plus and Sophia adds at least another two. She had fun going on a rhino ride up to the corn. We did that all summer and fall. What to do when it's freezing cold outside(-15) and a toddler who can't sit still.

I find she gets bored often and then is into everything. We had fun with the iPhoto app on my computer. Thought some of these were funny! Love my new Mac book, if anyone is looking for a new computer they are wonderful. Wish I would of had one of these years ago.

She is busy, still has a full vocabulary and her newest thing is disagreeing with everything we say. She is right and we are wrong, ALWAYS! She keeps us on our toes. She is a great, sweet big sister and loves her brother. I hope this continues, she likes to tell people she is the big sister and she is 16. She has been busy with her new Christmas treasures and she starts school again on Monday the 4Th. Now if we could just get her to sleep in her bed!

He is as sweet as ever. Hard to believe he is a month old already. Where has that month gone! He is a good sleeper for the most part and quite and eater too. We love holding him and he is soooo cuddly. Hopefully when we go into his Dr apt tomorrow he will weigh a little more. He is still such a peanut. They grow too fast!

Finally everyone is healthy again. Sophia had a cold, and spread it to Finnegan. I found her sucking on a pacifier behind the chair. When I asked her what she was doing she said, "Finnegan needs this" like she was just warming it up for him. Who knows how many pacifiers we missed that she secretly sucked on. So with a toddler and newborn sick it wasn't fun. Then Eric got sick after Christmas with a 12 hour bug. I managed to stay away from getting sick, thank goodness! I hope this is the END! We have been laying low here.

Today I am crazy and going into work for a few hours. It will be madness beyond my control trying to get my clients in and ready for the Holiday's. I'm not sure why I picked up this day to work, I guess I felt bad about getting them in. Since it's only been 2.5 weeks since I had Finn I really feel great, thank goodness!

Sophia and I had a Mommy -Daughter date the other night. We went to the Holidazzle parade and had a blast! Her favorite part was the School bus(metro transit bus decorated) marching band and the snowman. She danced along the curb to the music, and loved it! After the parade we headed to the car and the whole way home she kept saying, " Thank you for taking me mom". What a sweetie, we needed some bonding time. She's been a handful lately due to the new addition of her brother, but every day gets a little better.

Just as we were getting into a little bit of a routine Sophia woke up last night around 2am throwing up. Poor thing this is the first time she has had the flu and she was soooo sad. She threw up a couple more times, of course in different rooms in the house, once all over me. I had the house cleaned by 5am! Now just so that the rest of us don't get this, Especially Finnegan.

He's here after 23 hours of induction and labor little Finn came after 11 min of pushing! He weighed 8lbs 9oz and was 21 in long. We are in LOVE with our new little man.

Everything is going really well. He is a very calm baby, good eater and sleeps pretty well for a new born.

Sophia is adjusting well. We have had some "episodes" but nothing major. She just tells us what she thinks, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. She tells us she loves her brother and gives him kisses. She is always willing to help. Thank goodness she can tell us everything she wants otherwise this would be a hard transition. It will be fun to have all winter to spend with my babies and husband!

Well today is my due date, even though I am measuring three weeks past this date! OH Joy! I am set to be induced tomorrow at noon. We are excited and I am ready to be done, and meet this little person. The day has just begun so who knows he could come early, wishful thinking but it's a full moon. Wouldn't that be something! So we will try to update after he comes. It's going to be a big adjustment around here!!!!

We went last Saturday to Hampton Hills tree farm, our annual trip with Murph, Chrissy and Reagan. It's hard getting Eric in the mood for "Christmas tree time" and it's my favorite thing to do. So we call him scrooge all morning till he has fun!

This year we got to go to a different lot on top of a huge muddy messy hill. Thank goodness for 4-wheel drive. There were cars of course with trees on the top, people dragging trees behind there vehicles and anything you can imagine out of the normal you saw. It's always funny to see how crazy people are. We had a good time and Sophia is in love/hate with our tree.

She will NOT leave it alone. I put jingle bells, pine cones and cinnamon sticks just because I knew this would happen. I can't tell you how many times "Mr. tree" we call him has gotten mad and turned his lights off. It's going to be a long month!

So baby Nerison #2 is measuring in at a whopping 41 weeks. Great and all but I am only 38wks! Should I be scared of another big baby? Yep I think so! Which is weird to me that this whole time I have only gained 3lbs and this baby is that big! The Dr did a couple things to maybe help me along faster which is wishful thinking but you never know! This pregnancy has gone soooooooo fast! We will keep you all posted. I have picked up extra days working thinking maybe just maybe this will help:-)

We booked our Vegas trip Yesterday for May 2010!! I , or I guess we couldn't be more excited! This is the first trip I have been on since child/one on the way in a few years! Our last trip to Jamaica I was preggo, fun but ya no how that goes when everyone else is "really having fun"! Now just to patiently wait for it to come. It will be a super fun group of people. Can't wait to see how much it has changed since I lived there 8 years ago!

Well were down to two weeks till due date. Which means could be any time, but with my luck NOPE! I finally started to wash clothes,and organize some things so were not running around when we get home. I can't believe it is this time of year already!

Sophia is still excited for her Brother. She speaks so much still, every day is something new and impressive that she says!

Eric has been home this week, hopefully it's not that dreaded time of "Lay offs" for the year, but we have a feeling it might be. He still has some projects to finish and I think he is sick of me making a list for him. It's going to be a long winter at Daddy daycare's house!! ha ha

We started out our Halloween day with a parade in RedWing with Auntie Tess and Grandma Peters. We walked along the main street, got candy and everyone oohed and aaahhed over my costume! She was so tired after the parade, and we hadn't even trick or treated to our Families.

All I can say is next year we are going to each Grandparents house and whoever wants to see her and her brother come there!! It's way too much traveling and in and out of the car!! At least until they can buckle and unbuckle themselves! Whew I was beat too!

It's hard to believe that it's this time of year already! We carved our pumpkins last night. Sophia was soooo excited! She kept saying,"I'm excited is it my turn yet, pleeeease"! Tadaaaa here's my pumpkin.....

As some of you may have seen we became "famous" well small town Cannon Falls famous! We had our picture on the front page of the Beacon! Sophi was so excited about her snowman, and yes we have multiple copies of the paper to save. I was so surprised to see our picture in there. Thank you Bakken's it was so sweet of you to do that:-)

Eric had the day off due to weather so he spent half of the morning fixing my car to get it started, and then Sophia and him built a snow man or should I say Eric built a huge snowman. Let's just say that the first time she walked out in the snow that morning she cried because, "I don't want to walk in it". Then later that day she wouldn't go in the house and was eating the snow. We had to give her a lesson on yellow snow, she didn't care it was the greatest tasting stuff ever to her!

The first weekend in October we went on a "trip" as Sophia would call it with Grandma and Grandpa Peters. We ventured to Stoughton WI, to visit my aunt Teri, uncle Todd, and two cousins Erik and Ethan. We had a blast doing so many things and Sophia loved playing with her cousins! She is such a good traveler. Four hours in the car there and she didn't say she was stuck until right before we got there. Then on the way home she was soooo tired she slept four and a half hours! Wow was she a spit fire when we got home. Was great to see them and we would like to get out there this winter while I am off on maternity leave.
She now wants one of these!

Erik and Sophia celebrated there Birthday's just a few days apart! Can you see the resemblance between these two!

Erik's tackle foot ball team, they won and he did a great job playing! Ethan has a cast on his arm so his season of football is over. He entertained Sophia during the game.

So has anyone felt like with baby number two the whole pregnancy goes by so fast you actually some day's forget you are pregnant. Until you try to get up from a chair or get kicked really hard!

I have been horrible about posting for this blog but even worse telling about all the preggo things for this one, so her it goes!

Hard and sick in the beginning, good all rest of way and know we are at 32 wks! Oh my gosh how time goes by fast!

We did find out what the baby was and it is a boy! Sophia has named him and most of you probably have heard her tell you! Along with her full name and address!

We will wait to say his name until he comes out!

I feel great and am excited for this next one , but really nervous at the same time. Giving lots of attention to two! Scares me lots. I'm sure everyone has gone thru this and it will be just fine.

Sophia is really excited and does no what's going on. She tells people her brother is in my stomach and he comes out there. She listens to his heart beat with her Dr stethoscope and comes with me to almost every Dr apt.

Seems like it was yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital, and now we have a sweet, lovely, talkative, smart, sassy, bossy little toddler! There is never a dull moment or a quiet moment here with Sophia!

As I'm typing this I just heard her give her Barbie a time out! Then she just ran in and gave me a shot with her Dr kit. She calls herself Dr. Nerison, no lie. Even told my Dr this when we went for last baby check up!

I can't even tell you everything she say's because it is UNBELIEVABLE what she says. Full sentences, huge words and things we would never guess she would say. I'm sure people don't believe me when I say this but ask anyone that sees her often and they will tell you the same.

She came up to me the other day and said" I have a special assignment for you" I was like OK!

She counts to about 20, says all of her abc's knows shapes, colors and is singing many many songs! She just amazes me!

We had a party with our families this year. No big party like last year. Although when you get my family and Eric's together in our little house it feels like a huge party. Was lots of fun, and Sophia got lots of nice presents. Thank you Grandparents, Uncles and Aunties we love you all!

Sophia started Bright Beginnings school up at Hosanna Church on Sept 14Th. The first day she was really shy, but talked her teachers ears off as normal. She now absolutely loves it! We got there the other day took her coat off and I asked her if she was ready to go into her classroom. She said "yep" and was gone. No goodbye to me or nothing! She amazes everyone with how much she can talk, and knows this will be great for her to learn even more.

We had our first trip to the MN Zoo. We went with a couple of girls from my work, and there kids. We fed the the giraffes and saw lots of things. We didn't make it thru everything because we had some meltdowns around lunch. So we decided enough with the Zoo and headed home. All the kids were sleeping in 10 min. Ahh quiet!!

Poor little peanut got quite sick this June. She had a 102 fever for a week, two trips to the Dr and finally they figured out she had pneumonia. For a child that has never really been sick in two years it was very hard on her, and us. she was a trooper and bounced back fine.

That's right you read correct, we are expecting a new little peanut. As of now due date is December, 2. We are very excited, it has been an interesting first few months for me. But I am feeling much better now. It will go fast I'm sure, with having summer in there and fall. Sophia is starting to understand but we have a long ways to go. Like potty training and sleeping in a big girl bed, not throwing her babies down that stairs. Other than that she will be just fine

Well, I guess you can say it's been a few months since this little blog has been updated. I really don't no what we have been up to, oh yeah that's right life and me being a procrastinator!

Here is what Sophi has been up to!

She is talking more and more everyday. She is now speaking full blown sentences. Some full songs, saying prayers and scolding us occasionally for not praying before we eat. She is all girl, and all about being outside.

We have spent most of our spring at the Farm's, which is my parents farm and Eric's parents. She loves riding in Matt's tractor and her absolute favorite thing to ride on is Mikes rhino (has two seats kind of like a 4-wheeler) She also recently helped Grandpa Peters drive the milk truck! She is also in LOVE with my mom's green house, any kind of flower. She likes to pick them all too! Can make it difficult when she is trying to sell those flowers!

Some classic Sophi lines:

A lady pulls up to my mom's green house in a VW bug,. Sophi being the little greater she is, says to lady when she gets out, "nice car" walks away!

She ran into the living room the other night and told me. "I'm smoking hot"!

A conversation with my Dr. " I feed baby calves, and ride tractor", "Matty tractor still broken" "we go feed ducks after"

So any way she is fun, and full of it, and we wouldn't want it any other way! She has her toddler moments and she keeps up entertained all of the time. This scares me for the future, being that she will want to entertain everyone including boys! I think I got gray hairs typing that:)

Sophia is now enrolled in the 2009/2010 Bright Beginnings school up at Hosanna Church in Lakeville. She will go every Monday during the school year for two hours and do crafts, bible stories, and learn lots of new things. Not to mention all the other little kids her age she will meet. The class is for kids 20months old to 35 months old. I'm so excited for her to go I think it's a great thing for her being that she is so "gifted" as Grandma Nerison would say!

Same old here this week. Just sick and tired of all the snow we got yesterday. I am also sick of driving home in this stuff. I think every storm this year has been on a day I have to drive to Rochester. Ugh!

Sophia is still learning every day. We have 5 shapes mastered, and 5 colors mastered. She is now counting to twelve and tells us she loves us all the time! She will even tell us she loves us more!

Right now she is running back and forth between Eric and I telling us secrets, to cute!

Hope you are all surviving winter! Look at it this way, at least it's almost March and not December, the end is near!!!!!

We draw names every year for Christmas. This year Eric got Matt and I got Mike. On each card you write things you want. Each of their cards said girl friends. They both got blow up dolls and yes they got a nice gift too. Each one of their dolls were called Ursala. Was a good laugh when they opened that gift!

Matt and the grill got into a fight on Christmas day. He started the gas and the cover blew up and flames came at him. Poor guy was in so much pain. Luckily his sister that works with skin all the time got it good and taken care of. He is very lucky he doesn't have any permanant damage from it. Matt stays away from the grill now and lets the other boys take care of it. He still gets a lot of crap from them though.

No she didn't get a drink of this. Her darn Uncles!!!!!! There always causing trouble!

We tell Sophia that she needs to wear ear muffs sometimes when someone says a bad word, her uncles are covering her ears. Wonder what they said!

Well I have been horrible at this blogging stuff lately. Seems my computer time is spent on face book! Oh how addicting! So I am back at it with the Sophi update!

Her uncles like to call her D.Q. now which stands for Drama Queen. She is very dramatic and is definitely a Little girl. Seems now that the smallest things that make her angry are huge and she is so dramatic about things. It's amazing to see how much she changes daily. She is no longer a baby that is for sure. We are into toddler hood and she is showing signs of the terrible two's at 16mo.

Sophia can say anything you tell her too and I mean anything! She is speaking some sentences and counts to seven. We are working on colors and ABC's right now and she is doing well learning every day.

She is still charming the pants off of everyone she sees and Faith Ann is back in her life. Except Sophi changed Faith's name to YA YA! Funny she has gone in the bath tub with her and to bed with her lots of nights. Sophi got a pre-valentines present it was a friend for Faith Ann, her name is Ireleyn. Crazy names!

Other than talking non stop and being a smart little wipper snapper all is the same. She is still wearing 2t and 3t clothes and her shoes seem to outgrow her faster than anything else.

Sophi had the flu over New years, which gave her parents a great excuse to get out of New Years! Up all night with diarrhea and puking. First time ever so we are thankful for that, but oh how bad we felt for her. Poor peanut. This last couple of weeks she has had a cold runny nose, and coughing but is much better now.

She loves to shop which I am so THANKFUL for! She loves necklaces, bracelets, and headbands and anything girly. Thank you God for little girls!

We had a nice Christmas and a celebrated Eric's 30Th birthday on Jan. 27Th. Wow how time flies by!

We are celebrating Valentines day with Auntie Chrissy and Unlce Murph which will be fun. Can't wait till next year when "The girls" can play together!

So we own a old house, and it's had it's problems this year. We are constantly battling with pipes freezing in our upstairs bathroom. I've broken off two key's in the garage door because of being cold, it's been lots of fun.

This pipe situation makes it difficult to bathe a one year old. Plus she is way to tall to even think about fitting in the sink. So every night we take showers, and I am shocked how much she loves them. I can't even say the word "shower" or she will climb in there like she is doing in this picture with her pj's on . She is constantly wanting to "shower"! Hope this isn't the end of Baths! She's just to old for her age. Guess I no where to look if she's hiding.

I was unaware my husband knew how to roll pants like this, ya no from back in the day. He finally confessed he rolled his pants a few times a long time ago! I laughed so hard when I saw her pants. Her whole outfit is 80's but she sure is cute!

Oh Christmas tree I love to eat you're lights, take off the pretty ornaments, swat at you, and call you teeee teeee. Our poor tree!

Lately Sophia has been into everything and I mean everything. She is still obsessed with the toilet and can now lift the seat up to splash her hands in there. She doesn't no yet but Santa is bringing her a potty for Christmas. Maybe this will help she is showing signs every day but I don't want to push it too hard.

Shes a smart little lady, I can't even start to name all of the words she knows. She will copy everything you say and I mean everything.

Still loves her books and is in love with her baby dolls.

We went to get our tree with a.k.a Scrooge my husband. He turned into Scrooge when we hit the tree farm and there was a line to get in and mini-van's everywhere. Not knocking anyone with a van. But seriously it was chaos. Van's everywhere tying there trees to the top, stuffing them inside, even saw one vehicle tie there tree to the back windshield wiper.

Getting a tree has been my favorite thing to do since I was younger. Sophia had fun helping pick a tree but we were there for 2 hrs so Scrooge was a little tense. He will come around, we have a ton more years of going to get a tree!

First costume.................

Our Halloween night was fun. Sophi might be the only one year old with a costume change. I've had this idea of her being a cupcake for a long time. Figured I can pick her costumes until she tells me what she wants to be. Which by the rate this little one is talking will be next year!

I was planning on making the costume, which I did. Started it the week of Halloween like the true procrastinator I am, and finished it the day of Halloween. Was so proud of myself that I finished it, and it stayed intact. All I had left to do was paint on the sparkles with fabric paint. Well little did I no that fabric paint takes way longer than a whole day to dry. So by 4pm when we were getting ready I had to find a costume.

I tried on the costume she wore last year when she was a month old. I know you're all thinking how would that fit her this year. Well my 12lb baby last year had a 6-12mo old costume on so it worked out perfect. Added one of her many tutu's and a wig with a crown and we were good to go! She looked pretty darn cute I must say.

Off to our first stop, Murph and Chrissy's house. She was doing great, leaving her wig on, calling all the pumpkins apples and all of the sudden, a blow out and I mean blow out all the way down her tights thru the costume and all over her tutu. So we left with her jacket and diaper on, real classy and thank goodness it was nice outside. Off to home to put the cupcake costume on. I really didn't care if it was dry she had to wear it, and here she is with half the out fit on. Better luck next year!Were slowly learning how to color and draw without eating the crayons..

Her absolute favorite thing..............apples! She even knows how to eat them right. She still calls pumpkins- apple and I'm assuming this will go on thru Thanksgiving. Hopefully by Christmas we will have a new word!

She is saying all of her Unlce's and Aunt's name's now, along with hot potato, please and thank you! Her new favorite toy at the moment is her baby. She kisses her, gives her hugs and rocks her in her chair. She also is quite taken by any baby she sees anywhere and she still tells everyone in sight hello. What a kind little lady!

Sophi and I went pumpkin picking today. Sophi calls her pumpkins "apple" we tell her pumpkin and she says "apple" this has been going on for a few days now.

Her and Grandma Nerison went back and forth the other day with pumpkin and apple. She told all the worker's at the pumpkin farm, apple, apple. They laughed and she of course was cute.

Then on the car ride home I go to her, "Sophi to do you like you're pumpkin"? She goes"apple" I say "pumpkin" and we go back and forth.

What a ham:)

We are off and walking. Sophia has finally mastered walking and sometimes running. She is not afraid of anything at all. She walks, climbs, loves rocking in her chair and getting into everything. She just one day decided enough with crawling and took off. On to the next stage!

We went to her one year Dr appointment a few days ago and she is growing, growing. She weighs almost 24lbs which is kind of small, but she is so tall. She was way off the charts for her age and has been since her three month check up when she grew 6in from birth! She eats everything and anything in sight. She showed the Dr where his nose and mouth was and impressed him with telling him no like she does to everyone now! She also throws in a few nopes now and then. It's kind of like the teenage years, we tell her no and she tells us no back!

Sophia and Daddy snuck off after eating cake and opening gifts. I found them napping just like they did exactly one year ago on the day she was born! So sweet, my babies! They had a big day of partying! Thanks Nana and Bumpa for letting us borrow you're tv room for our nap!

Hey everyone I'm one year old!

She learned this morning to hold up her one finger when you say, "are you one Sophi" and she does it. We had a great day with lots of friends and family. Thanks to everyone who helped share the day with Sophia!

Her very own giant cupcake cake. My Grandma Jonas made the cake and I got to be creative and frost it. Was lots of fun and as you can see little Miss Sophia has lots of fun eating lots of frosting and only a little cake.

She got a new radio flyer car from Aunt Megan. It has blinkers, horn and a radio. She is in love with this car and her you can see how graceful she is getting into it. In couple days she will have it mastered!

Just looking thru old pictures. I am bawling right now! I can't believe it's almost been a year. This next weekend will be full of lots of happiness but I think a few tears for Mommy and maybe even Daddy! Look at how little she is, also a reminder of how long labor was( all 9lbs 20z of my peanut) Don't we look so well rested (kidding we look like crap) but we are so excited and happy to meet our baby girl! We waited so long to find out what she was, by the way that's the best surprise!
